Christian is an award-winning portraitist with works in private collections around the world. He tudied portait painting under Nelson Shanks and Everett Raymond Kinstler

The workshop will begin with a 90 minute all-prima portrait demonstration by the instructor. Subjects covered during the hands-on section of the workshop will include:

Organizing your palette

How to start in monochrome

Controlling values with color strings

Capturing likeness with angles & proportions

Seeing planes and facets of the face

Turning form with "tiles" of Paint

Manipulating wet-into-wet paint build

You will also receive an extensive class handout reviewing all points covered
